Navigating the City on Two Wheels is Easier than Ever
DENVER, CO — There’s a new bike map now available in Denver, and its FREE, giving residents and visitors a latest look at the city’s bicycle program! The map shows the city’s off-street trail system as well as its robust network of on-street bike facilities, including another 39 miles of bike lanes and sharrows that have been added since the map was last updated in 2012. Denver Public Works transportation planners also made the new map simpler and more compact, including helpful biking information such as:
· Rules of the road and courtesy on trails
· Useful accessories for riding
· Signaling left and right turns
· How to load your bike on the bus and train
· A guide to Denver’s green bike markings and what they mean
Residents can download a bike map here, or find many more resources of the city’s web site at www.denvergov.org/bikeprogram, and the new maps will be available around town starting this week at libraries, recreation centers, and through BikeDenver.
Regional Premiere of New Musical Comedy My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding at the Soiled Dove October 3 – November 8.
Theatre Or (or is the Hebrew word for light) will present the regional premiere of the new musical comedy My Mother’s Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding by David Hein and Irene Carl Sankoff October 3 – November 8 at the Soiled Dove in Lowry.
A hilarious, heartfelt musical comedy about a woman’s journey of self-discovery, this uplifting, life-affirming, modern love story is also about embracing change and finding yourself. With a universal message for all – no matter what religion, sexuality, or spirit you favor – MMLJWW is based on the true story of the playwright’s mother and couldn’t be more timely.
A hit at the 2009 Toronto Fringe Festival, this charming new musical is catching on at theaters throughout the nation, where it has frequently been extended or reprised due to popular demand.
Diane Gilboa, Lowry resident and Theatre Or Producing Artistic Director looked for two years for a suitable venue, and luckily the Soiled Dove agreed to host its first ever musical theatre run.
Tickets are on sale at the Soiled Dove www.soileddove.com or 303-830-9214. Preview tickets for Thursday, October 1, are only $23, and there is an early bird special of $29 for all other tickets if purchased by September 1, after which top-priced tickets will be $37.
