The Lowry Community Master Association (LCMA) has three Board of Directors seats up for election at the annual meeting on Thursday, December 8th, 2016 at 6P in the Eisenhower Chapel.
The LCMA Board maintains the physical assets and protects the financial assets of the association, oversees the Design Review process for new construction and changes to existing properties, enforces the covenants of the Association, and works to promote quality of life for those who live, work and play in Lowry. The LCMA manages, maintains and insures all common elements, such as LCMA-owned parks, sidewalks, alleys, private roads, trees, landscaping, park equipment, lighting, monuments and walls, so that they are preserved for current and future owners in Lowry to enjoy (you can find a more comprehensive list of those assets here).
The LCMA’s Lowry Design Review Committee works with developers and builders to review and approve proposed building plans. The LCMA’s Buildings and Grounds Committee oversees maintenance activities and reviews Design Review Requests for changes to existing homes and commercial buildings. The LCMA also puts on several community events each year and provides neighborhood communications via a weekly eNewsletter and the Lowry Facebook page and Twitter feed.
Those interested in being considered to serve on the Board of Directors should complete the 2016 LCMA Board of Directors Application. Any property owner, owner’s spouse or domestic partner or representative of a commercial owner is eligible to run for the LCMA Board of Directors if they are in good standing with the Association. Qualifications that are helpful, but not required, for an LCMA Board Member to have are a background in architecture, landscape architecture, construction, construction management, finance, communications, legal and/or HOA, not-for-profit, or non-profit Board experience.
For inclusion on the Proxy Form mailed out to all property owners and the ballot, the application must be received by 5P on Friday, October 28th, 2016. For inclusion on the ballot only, the application must be received by 5P on Monday, December 5th, 2016. Nominations received after the deadline will be considered write-in candidates.

Lowry’s Little Free Library count is growing! These delightful structures are providing reading material for the whole neighborhood.
This very simple concept of “take a book, leave a book” has supported and inspired reading all over the world. Here in Lowry, the LCMA has worked with a resident to photograph all the Little Free Libraries that we are aware of and put them on a map for you to explore and contribute to: click here for Lowry’s Little Free Library Map. Many of the Little Free Libraries are short on children’s books, so if you have extras that you would like to pass on, please help us fill our Little Free Libraries with great reading material for all ages!
The LCMA would like to remind homeowners that just like any exterior change to your property a Design Review Request Form should be submitted for approval before installing your own Little Free Library.
Read on, Lowry!

The School of Rock Denver has arranged to host Mark Schulman, world class drummer, author and speaker, to present and perform this Saturday and Sunday at the Soiled Dove Underground in Lowry. Schulman has been named one of the top three Pop Drummers in the world and has performed with all the singers and bands listed above and so many more. He currently tours with P!nk and much of his dynamic, multi-media presentation features video of his world-tour with the popular singer, intertwined with compelling stories of life on the road and proven advice about how all of us can reach peak performance in life.
Following his presentation, Schulman plans to perform with local students from the School of Rock house bands from the Denver, Littleton and Aurora schools. Both the presentation and show is appropriate for all ages and tickets are $10 for children and $15 for adults. Doors are at 5p with presentation at 6p. Please see the attached flyer for full details and also feel free to share the pdf with residents if desired.
Additionally, on Sunday, Sept. 25th Schulman plans to host a Drum Clinic that is geared specifically for drummers that want to improve their skills on the kit. This event is also at the Soiled Dove Underground and open to the public. The registration price is $10.
Tickets for both events can be purchased at www.soileddove.com. This is a rare opportunity to see a world-class musician perform locally and for a very reasonable price.
