Denver Police Department (District 3):  For emergencies, including suspected break-ins in process, please call 911.  For non-emergency questions or concerns, call (720) 913-1300.  District 3 Denver Police also update the community via a private social networking program called NextDoor.  When you register for NextDoor, it uses your Lowry address to add you to the right group.  Denver Police update on NextDoor based on your geographic location.  You can also follow the Denver Police Department on Facebook or visit their website. District 3 has assigned a Community Resource Officer to Lowry: Sharon Avendano. Lowry Aviator:  The Lowry Aviator is a magazine that features Lowry residents, businesses, events and other news.  The Aviator is mailed to all Lowry households – if you need to be added to their distribution list or get more information about advertising, adding content, etc., please contact Michele Weingarden at (720) 305-6631 or Michele.weingarden@n2pub.com.

Lowry United Neighbors – LUN is a voluntary organization of Lowry neighbors committed to the quality of life in Lowry. LUN offers a chance for residents to learn about a variety of topics, ranging from composting to preservation of Lowry’s past to zoning for the future.  LUN also takes positions on preservation/zoning issues with the City of Denver.  LUN, in partnership with the Lowry Foundation, is responsible for the much-attended Lowry Speaker Series (see the Lowry calendar for upcoming Speaker events).  To get more involved with LUN, email lowryunitedneighborhoods@gmail.com to be added to list.

Lowry Foundation – The Lowry Foundation was created to enhance the quality of life and public spaces for the enjoyment of all citizens. It pursues projects and programs of artistic, cultural, educational, historic and recreational value. The Foundation’s projects have included public art and transit art to enhance public spaces, a community grant program to fund improvement projects, the restoration of the Eisenhower Chapel, Lowry’s Reading Garden, the Lowry Speaker Series and many others. Volunteering for and donating to the Lowry Foundation is a great way to benefit the Lowry community. To join their mailing list, email lowryfoundation@gmail.com

Lowry Redevelopment Authority – The Lowry Redevelopment Authority (LRA) is a quasi-governmental, nonprofit entity created by the cities of Denver and Aurora to redevelop the former Lowry Air Force Base. The LRA is the master developer of Lowry, with responsibility for any new development, including land planning, engineering, environmental cleanup, parks construction and sale of property to residential and commercial developers.  Currently they are working on the development of the Boulevard One at Lowry, one of the last undeveloped parts of the former Lowry Air Force Base on Quebec at 1st Ave. To find out more about the LRA and the status of Boulevard One at Lowry, go to their website at www.lowryredevelopment.org or call them at (303) 343-0276.  LRA meetings are open to the public and public comment is invited.  Meetings are typically held at the new LRA office in the Buckley Annex at 7290 E First Ave., Denver, CO 80230.
